Description

The first "real" assignment in the book was to practice how to switch to the "R-mode". The task was to copy the portrait of Igor Stravinsky (by Picasso, here's how the original looks like: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Str… but with a twist: the picture was up-side-down, it would be harder to recognize known patterns such as "Chin", Eyes", "Fingers" and so on.

I found that it is supportive if you force yourself to think (and say it to yourself) in terms of "squiggly line" or "starts at the same height than the line over here" and so on to avoid giving the part you are drawing an actual name as "eye brows" or "starts at the same height as the part of the chair finishes".

Here's the result. I experimented a bit and started to use my left hand once the lower part was done.
